Who is Ubunye Educare and what we are doing to make a difference
We are a registered NPO catering to the educational needs of children 5-6 year old in the township of Dunoon, Cape Town.
We provide a superior early childhood development opportunity, in poorer communities; so that the children attending Ubunye Educare Centre will graduate with the skills necessary to excel in their future education.
We provide upliftment to the community by imparting knowledge and skills through Grade-R early childhood education, routine pediatric health check-ups and nutrition programme.
Is to work in collaboration with Government Agencies (Departments of Basic Education, Health and Social Services), Companies and Private Individuals, all contributing to achieving Sustainable Development Goals:
- Good health and well-being – To ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for children aged (5–6) living in low-income households within Dunoon.
- Raise the quality of education – Ensuring inclusive and equitable quality early childhood education and the promotion of lifelong learning opportunities for children from these low income households.
